Video consultation
Not a meeting link you paste into WhatsApp.
The room belongs to the appointment. Who may enter, when, and on what plan is decided by the server — every time, not once.
How it works

The appointment is the room
There is no link to generate, copy or paste. The consultation has an address inside the app, and only that appointment’s participants can reach it.

Both sides are called
At the slot time a call-style notification reaches the patient and you, with join and snooze. In the app it appears as an incoming call banner.

The server checks five things
A valid session; that the caller is the patient or a doctor who is an active member of this practice; that the appointment can be joined; that the plan includes video consultation; and that it is within the join window.

Only then is a room made
A private room is created or reused, and a token is issued that expires when the slot does. A failed check looks exactly like an appointment that does not exist.

The consultation runs
Camera and microphone controls, device and speaker selection, screen share, a rear-camera mode for showing something, background blur and noise cancellation.

It ends itself
Fifteen minutes after the slot starts the call closes, and the appointment moves to ended. The token expires at the same moment, so it cannot be reopened.
In more detail
Live Bengali transcription
Speech is transcribed as the consultation runs and kept with the appointment. A summary can be generated afterwards on request.
Documents in the call
A report shared during the consultation goes into the patient’s permanent record. The other side is told a document arrived, and fetches it themselves — the notice carries no link.
A floating call bubble
Leave the tab, or the app, and the call follows as a small window rather than dropping.
The screen stays awake
The device is prevented from sleeping mid-consultation.
Quality adapts
A connection badge shows how the call is holding up, and shared content is kept sharper than face video when bandwidth is short.
Nothing new is invented
Documents shared in a call go to the same private storage as every other patient report, under the same rules. There is no second filing system.
What this does not do
Written down so you find out here rather than three weeks in.
- Consultations are capped at fifteen minutes. This is fixed, even where a practice uses longer slots.
- The call cannot be joined early — the window opens exactly at the slot time.
- Calls are not recorded. Only the text transcript is kept.
- One patient and one doctor. There are no group or multi-party consultations.
- Live transcription is Bengali only, and works in Chromium-based browsers.
- There is no chat outside a live call.
Why the checks are on the server.
Hiding the join button from someone who should not be in a consultation is a hint. It is not a control.
So the same questions are asked again where they cannot be skipped. Holding a doctor account is not enough to enter another practice's consultation: membership of that specific practice is required, and a request that fails returns the same answer as one for an appointment that was never created — which is the point. A probe learns nothing.
